Soul blast

What is 15 minutes to you?

More time to relax? More time to be with your kids? More time to get things done? More time to enjoy life?

A lot can be done in 15 minutes.

Soul Blast is an exercise routine that's created for people who have a real life, people who don't want to spend all their time in a gym just to be healthy and to look good.

No bells, no whistles. No tricks, no frills. No useless exercise theories and no complicated exercise technique. No slow learning curve and no wasted time. And no burn out. Just pure work, pure sweat, and pure grunt -- the stuff that changes the body, effectively and efficiently.

Make no mistake, Soul Blast is not fluff or fad. It's based on scientific principles and scientific studies.

Soul Blast uses simple exercises that are whole-body, simple to learn, and metabolically expensive. It positively stimulates muscle, enhances the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, and burns a boat-load of fat.

Soul Blast is not designed to build Herculean strength or big, bulky muscles. Its purpose is to help make you sensibly functional and muscularly lean, all while giving you the time to live and enjoy your life outside of the gym.

Soul Blast is an incredibly effective workout routine for people who have a life. Get in, get out. Go look good.

Pay monthly and come as often as you like during designated hours. Visit us for a tour and more details.

Q: What is Soul Blast?

A: Soul Blast is supervised exercise for those seeking a lean, muscularly defined body and great metabolic health without devoting hours in a gym. Very flexible scheduling. It's essentially exercise that doesn't disrupt your entire day or take over your life. There are more important things in life than spending time in a gym.

Q: Is 10 to 20 minutes long enough?

A: This depends on what you do and how you do it. Soul Blast emphasizes full-body exercises done vigorously in a short period of time. This produces superior fat burning and metabolic conditioning -- your body's ability to burn stored energy. Simply, Soul Blast is metabolically expensive.

Q: Do I still need to do resistance training?

A: Soul Blast is resistance training. Although the weight used are typically lighter (body weight, medicine balls, kettlebells, etc.), the speed at which it is used stimulates muscle, connective, and bone tissue. This improves strength and function, without the associated muscle bulk of heavy resistance training.

Q: Do I still need to do cardio or aerobics?

A: Whether you do Soul Blast or not, we encourage you to live an active life, such as moving around frequently throughout your day. Go for walks, hikes, or otherwise just move around. Soul Blast yields superior cardiovascular and respiratory health as compared to, say, drudging away on a treadmill or pounding the pavement.

Q: Will I build big muscles with Soul Blast?

A: You will not build big muscles on Soul Blast. If you're looking to build big muscles, then this is not the program. If you're looking to build an attractive lean body, however, then Soul Blast is your exercise program. (However, if you're already using a muscle-building program, you can still use Soul Blast to burn fat and uncover all that muscle you've been building!)

Q: Can I truly build health on 10 to 20 minutes?

A: You cannot build health with just exercise alone, no matter how long you do it. This is a fact, whether you like hearing it or not: you need to eat well (or even less), get quality sleep, lower your stress, yadda yadda. But an energetic, full-body exercise program like Soul Blast can indeed enhance your health -- in some cases more effectively than longer workouts because shorter workouts are less likely to cause adrenal fatigue, inflammation, or accumulated wear and tear.

Q: Why do you use only certain exercises?

A: We prescribe exercises that require full-body, large movement patterns for a greater metabolic output. Also, these exercises are purposefully simple, so that participants can challenge themselves without the associated risks of more complicated exercises. An energetic approach brings superior results.

Q: I participate in endurance sports, like tennis and cycling. How does Soul Blast affect these sports?

A: The metabolic conditioning of Soul Blast can translate into better performance in many sports, particularly during periods requiring high energy output. Better metabolic conditioning can also help delay physical and mental fatigue.

Q: I currently do small-group classes and personal training at The 3rd Door. If I do Soul Blast, do I still need to do the small fitness classes or personal training?

A: Only you can decide whether you want to continue with our personal training or small fitness classes. Personal training and small group classes are great for those who desire personal attention, the accountability that comes with a standing schedule, and learning a wide range of complex exercises. Soul Blast is effective exercise for those who have time constraint, are on a limited budget, and are not seeking personal attention. (Soul Blast is certainly a great addition for those already utilizing our other fitness services -- what a great way to increase physical activity level!)

Q: Soul Blast uses mostly lighter weight equipment. Even though I don't want to build bulky muscles, can I still gain lean muscle mass with lighter weight?

A: You definitely won't build big muscles with Soul Blast. The main goal of Soul Blast is to impact your metabolism and help you get lean; however, Soul Blast does apply beneficial stress to muscles, so you adapt by becoming not only more functional but also by becoming more muscularly lean. This gives shape and visual appeal.

Q: What's Soul Blast like?

A: Soul Blast is like an Italian motorbike without all the silly plastic fairings, paint schemes, and LED lights. It's faster than most people will ever ride it, and gets you there quickly without GPS. It doesn't waste space or time with fancy gadgets.
